Frequently Asked Questions
Garbage Can Questions:
Do you supply a can? Yes, we can supply a can if needed. You are also welcome to use your own. If you wish to use your own can, it does not have to be any specific kind as we pick up the bags by hand.
What size is your can? The cans we provide are 96 gallon.
How much do you charge for the can? There are no delivery or rental charges if we provide the can.
I’m starting service soon, when will my can be delivered? Cans are typically delivered on the weekend prior to your start date. Please note the first payment must be received before the can will be delivered.
Service Questions:
What time do you pickup in my area? There are too many variables that play a part in when we get to you (traffic, long wait times at the landfill, new clients causing route adjustments, etc). For this reason we do not guarantee times. We ask that trash be out at 6:00 on your service day, but it is possible we may not be able to get to you until later in the evening.
Do you require everything to be bagged? Yes, all trash must be bagged and tied.
Can I put extra trash by the can to be picked up? Weekly pickup is for trash in the can only. The lid of the trash can should close or come within a couple of inches of closing. All trash placed by the can or that will not fit in the can with the lid closed will be left unless prior arrangements have been made.
Is there an additional cost to pickup 2 cans? Yes, the monthly rate for the second can is $3 less than the monthly rate for one can. For example: If you are paying $24/month for one can, the second can would be $21/month for a total of $45/month.
Do you accept cardboard? Yes, we do. All cardboard must be broken down. If you have a lot of small boxes, we’d love it if you threw all of them in a bag for easy handling (but it’s not required).
What do you not accept? We do not accept medical waste or anything that would be considered hazardous waste such as paint, oil, chemicals, antifreeze. We do not accept tires, construction materials, mulch, brush, rock, etc. We do not accept electronics. We do not accept bulk items during regular pickups such as a microwave, vacuum, car seat, large toys, etc.
Billing Questions:
Are there startup costs? We do require a deposit equal to one month’s service that is billed on your first invoice and due prior to the can being delivered and prior to the start of services.
When do I get my bill? Bills are emailed (unless you request them to be mailed) on the 1st of every month for the following month of service. For example, on January 1st you will receive a bill for February’s services. On February 1st, you will receive a bill for March’s service.
When is my bill due? All bills are due on the 20th of every month. You have until the 25th to pay without being charged a late fee. On the 26th, a late fee is applied to the account. If payment is still not received by the last day of the month, the account is placed on cut-off and service will not resume until the account is brought current.
How do I pay my bill? You can pay your bill online by debit/credit card or bank draft. You may also mail a check.
Do you offer autopay? Yes, you can enroll in autopay from your customer portal. All autopay batches are processed on the 20th of each month.
